"Boredom" or "Meditation"?
A confusing analysis but raises an interesting point
Is there a confusion somewhere between "boredom" and "meditation"? This is kind of a mental "shutdown" in my opinion when we confuse both; sounds sophisticated, fancy and draws attention, perhaps though hardly an accurate analysis; I mean why in the world would anyone choose to sit bored stiff on a chair for minutes or hours rather than do proper meditation, I’d get extremely bored too. What I would say is that I do feel we all need to step back and be more aware of and look after our own mental/physical state before we process what life has to offer otherwise we're prone to get into a vicious cycle of errors/misjudgments and yes constant strain and misery. In other words we're not really using either our own potential nor the potential of what life can offer and meditation is just one big step in the right direction-even prayer in my mind is a form of distraction in this context. So my response to this clip in a nutshell is NOT to be "bored" but rather be more self aware and do your level best from that standpoint to get the most out of your life otherwise you're of no use to no one least of all yourself.
Just a thought.
